The big picture: Update 3rd May 2005

While thinking about doping something about that toilet in the way, I decided to play around a bit with possible panel diagrams, which you will see below.

They are not properly finished but give the general idea. I have two variations, The first one would be alot like Meadmore panel at DVR. The other with the point indications on the panel as well. The final blue screen is the CTC diagram for the same station.

The local panel will be able to be switch in/out. Switched in it can control all points & signals. But there is a control lever as well that also interacts with the CTC so:
  1. Swiched out with control to the CTC - the CTC can work the main roads as a passing loop
  2. Swiched in with control to the CTC - the CTC can work the main roads as a passing loop, and the local controls the yards (except for 11 points)
  3. Swiched in with control to the local panel - work the entire panel locally - except will not get a departure unless the line is clear each side
  4. Swiched Out - cannot do ???
This is to allow local control, limited local control, and CTC/local control. More work will be done later on, just sharing my thoughts at the moment.
