The big picture: Update 30th April 2006

Photos of this weekend's workbee down in the train room. Just a note on the trackwork. Because I am soldering the rail to sleepers, for track I first make "half track", ie solder one rail onto the circuitboard sleepers. I then do a trial fit, put a rail joiner on, then mark were the sleeper lie, then I glue it down & clamp it while wet. Next I solder the seocnd rail.

To do next is to drill holes for wiring, Then cut a insulating gap into the sleepers. Finally solde rin wire droppers. Then I can "test" the track !!!

A Look at the crossover and the track, that is almost done, ie needs wiring and gaps cut into the sleepers.
Using the clamps to glue down the track to the spline roadbed.
A Look at the crossover and station.
Clamps hold down the track to the spline roadbed. The semi finished track in the foreground ends at the first clamp.
The first point laid, at the end of the passing loop. I wanted this in first.
Track from the first point laid has two lengths of semi finished track laid either side of the main line.
Pre made points used to work out the yard throat at the other end of the station. the mainline is the right most track.
