Following on my initial thoughs about the lower stagin panel
back on the 17th, I have though a bit more about it. It is a compicated panel,
the main one. Too much programming required just to run it.
So I redesigned it. Now it still look similar but far easier to build. This time I have combined elements of my first idea with the "emercengy" panel. You now have push buttons to do simple point changes. Each end is got it's own point button. By adding more point buttons at the triangle you still set your road, but in a lot simpler way. No programming like constructs either. The one feature from the prev. circuit will still be the Set Exit section that if occuplied it will reset the points at the station end to allow the train to continue automaticall, or just use the button manually. One feature I am thinking of is to prevent you changing a point untill the track section it realates to is clear. Still thinking about this. Will I need a emergency panel ? Not sure. What I didn't mention last time I can see at least 2 identical panels, one in the station, and one at the stagin yards themselves, both able to run the yards. To switch to PC, both panels would have to be "Switched out" |
