The big picture: Update 1st December 2006

A Friday Night Workbee and there is some visual differences to see.

Charles was over first and he completed inserting sleepers on the mainline up to the "head of steel". Allan helped out by cutting more sleepers, since Charles was asking for some as supplies had run out. The NCE DCC was put into use testing some On30 locos and ensuring the headlights were on. Thanks to Mark, Tevor.

The Facis was two layers of 3mm craftwood cut into 8 inch strips. The first layer was glued to the benchwork, then a second layer added then screwwed into the baseboard. A consiustant bottomn was kept, with the facia highter than needed to allow me to work out the final contours. Thanks to Roger, Brendan, Graham.

The result is one facia on the upper level almost going 3/4 around the top level. A shiny Masonite facia to be glued on as the last layer. Already the two strips already installed make for a strong facia board, and the third will make it that much stronger.

Next on the agenda is to start the upper valances for the lighting of the upper deck.

Enjoy the pictures..........
