Yes, It's November, almost December 2003 and now I'm posting the April update !! No, It's no April fools, though at the time were I fooling myself - here was progress. A round-robin model railway group came over one friday night and set about this important first step. They worked hard off very simple instructions, and puzzled at the lack of plans to show them. All I gave was general wants and left it to them, while I try to find the tolls etc. they needed. What was done was two things, we cleared a lot of wood from under the stairs, and then took off some panelling in that "storeroom" - thanks to Doug and Roger. Then the frame is done. All I need to do is to put the wood on.....Thanks to Graham, Trevor, Roger, Mark, Alan, Bob. |

A week later, inspired by the work these people have done I then painted the frame, any old paint, and then screwed on a piece of 12mm plywood. It's purly structural, and not a baseboard. No photo I'm afraid ! That's all for April. |
