For the third time we showed our layout to the Eltham public! Being a local showing it was very easy
to get ready, especially with our clubrooms being so close.
During the Eltham Festival Weekend with two days of showing our layout, we had a great time. Setting
up without a trailer in a space nearby was easy. This year we had more layouts - 4 from our members,
and a work colleque of two of our members.
The weekend went well, no major drama and a small trickle of people seeing the layout. Admission was free and this year we had a donation box,
which we must thank the public for their generous donations. We had a free magazine for them to take as well.
Our club's Murranbilla was displayed, HO scale Australian
Brian, a visitor had his classic 4x7 table top railway there to entertain the younger ones. Mainly HO with some N scale.
Bill had his supurb MUlgaPatch On30 layout on display for the first time
Bill had his Hon30 layout on display for the first time, hmm $1500 for that detail on HO !(layout for sale BTW)
David Head had his small foldng layuot running as well. Easiest layout to move !!!, Nscale Aussie/American !
Martin has his TWIGG layout there Sunday only. A small shunting layout, HO scale Austrlian.
On the SUnday we were having fun with our layout and some trains that we would not normally run made an appearance, notablly
a Flying Scotsman and British train plus a American train as well.
Bill's two layouts dazzled and attracted a lot of good comment. Both narrow gauge layouts were detailed and had alot to find and look at.
It was their first showing, and I think Bill may have got the exhibiton bug !
